My Dad's Garage
My Dad’s Garage hopes to be a community-based makerspace dedicated to teaching hands-on skills in automotive repair, metal fabrication, and woodworking. Designed for teens, veterans/retirees, and working adults, the facility will provide access to professional-grade tools, expert guidance, and a supportive learning environment. From personal projects to job-readiness training, My Dad’s Garage will serve as both a workshop and a launchpad—where curiosity meets craftsmanship and community.

MISSION
Our mission is to break down barriers to the skilled trades by creating a space where anyone can learn, build, and thrive. Through membership-based access, structured classes, and mentorship from experienced tradespeople, we aim to equip members with confidence, competence, and real-world skills. My Dad’s Garage is committed to empowering individuals and strengthening the workforce by making hands-on education accessible, affordable, and inspiring.

Vision
We envision a future where My Dad’s Garage becomes a model for community-driven trade education—where every lift, lathe, and table saw fuels purpose. By fostering inter-generational mentorship and supporting alternative paths to success, we aim to revive pride in craftsmanship and close the gap between talent and opportunity. Our long-term goal is to spark similar facilities across the country, each one rooted in the belief that tools can build more than just things—they can build futures.
